Let us Customize Your Classic Vehicle. We have worked on many Classics over the years. Take a look at this 1965 Cobra. The Customer wanted some pretty good sound, but did not have much room for audio equipment and did not want to put anything in the dashboard area of the vehicle. So, we put our heads together and decided that we could put an amplifier in the trunk and connect it to his IPOD to use as the source unit. We removed the 2 side panels from the interior of the Cobra and custom mounted a pair of Polk Audio Speakers in them. They were positioned in the lower kick panels. Next we drilled 2 mounting holes for 2 Polk Audio midranges in the rear deck. We tried to go with a larger speaker, but space constricted us to a 5.25” speakers. We mounted the speakers right on top of one another. We completed the rear sound by adding a pair of Polk Audio tweeters with a Crossover network. An Infinity amplifier powered the 6 speakers. We ran an AUX cord and a USB charging cord to the center console area for his IPOD. The Infinity amp and crossovers were mounted in the trunk. Here is a 77 Chevy Pick Up with 425 HP. He is in the process of restoring it. We made 2 custom panels for 6 x9” Speakers in the rear side panels. We also mounted 2 4” Speakers in the center dash. Next we will be installing a New Radio. |
